AFSP 'Out of the Darkness' Walk
In September of 2019, members of the community participated in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention 'Out of the Darkness' walk, in honor of the founder of Hammer Apparel, the beloved Elijah Hamilton. With all of the t-shirts sold and donations received, Hammer Apparel raised $1,130 for suicide prevention!!
In 2020, team Hammer Apparel could not participate in the AFSP Walk due to COVID-19 restrictions, but we managed to raise $1,025 of our $1,500 goal. We are looking forward to 2021!
If you would like to find resources regarding suicide prevention or donate to the AFSP, please visit the website: https://afsp.org/. Together, we can stop suicide.
#WeDoThingsDifferently since 2017
Elijah made motivational Monday videos and posts to help others start the week on a positive note. His motivational Monday posts would consist of other people's stories and how they overcame any obstacles thrown their way. Elijah was kind-hearted and selfless with a personality that could brighten up a room. Even when he was having a bad day, he would be thinking about other people. He was the type of person who was nice to everyone regardless of who you were or what you had. He enjoyed weightlifting, playing basketball, hunting/fishing, and restoring old vehicles.
About Us
Hammer Apparel was founded in early 2017 by Elijah Hamilton. He was inspired by the uniqueness of wearing his own brand. He once said, “How many people do you know personally, that wear their own brand?”. Furthermore, he decided to use his brand to help motivate and encourage others. He started out making an Instagram and Twitter account, along with a YouTube channel to spread positivity.
Elijah wasn’t afraid to be different, therefore, the slogan for Hammer Apparel is #WeDoThingsDifferently. Whenever he would work out wearing his Hammer Apparel, he would take a picture and the caption would be “Did you get better today?”. He was such an inspiration to everyone and he touched so many lives. Elijah may have left us too soon, but Hammer Apparel will live on forever in his legacy.
